Meet Maple!<br/><br/>Maple is the sweetest little chunky boy with a gentle, quiet personality and a heart that just needs a little time to warm up.<br/>When Maple first meets someone, he can be pretty shy. He likes to hide under whatever he can find while he takes everything in. But give this little guy a little time and patience, and you’ll see a completely different puppy emerge! After just a day, Maple was ready to come out of his shell and discovered that people are pretty great—especially when they come with pets, scratches, and playtime.<br/>Maple absolutely loves his chew toys and enjoys wrestling and playing with the other dogs. He’s a pretty calm and quiet puppy, but once he wakes up from his nap, he’s right back in the middle of the action looking for more playtime and attention.<br/>When it’s time to sleep, Maple prefers curling up in his chosen safe place where he feels comfortable and secure. He’s a little guy who appreciates having his own space, but once he’s awake, he’s ready to come back out and enjoy the fun.<br/>Maple’s mom is a medium-sized terrier mix, but we strongly believe his dad had to be a big, fluffy guy—possibly a Saint Bernard or Great Pyrenees. Only DNA testing will reveal the truth, but whatever his family tree looks like, Maple is definitely one seriously adorable chunky monkey!<br/><br/> Maple will soon be 8 weeks old and ready to find a forever family who will give him the patience and love he needs to continue building his confidence. Once he knows you’re his person, he’s ready for all the playtime and scratches you can give him. Included in his adoption fee is: microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and his neuter scheduled through the rescue.
