Meet Mango, a 2-3-year-old beagle mix with a sleek black and tan coat, weighing 18 lbs of pure sweetness! This charming girl is dog-friendly but prefers a home without other dogs to have all the attention to herself. If a home with other dogs applies, a professional trainer is required. Mango thrives with someone older, retired, or working from home, providing the love and attention she craves. She's cool, calm, and collected, enjoys walks, car rides, and cozy naps.

Mango is crate trained, and house-trained, if let out on a schedule. Despite being heartworm positive, her treatment is covered by this rescue at our partnered vet.

An inquiry, question, or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application. All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info would be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).

The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention. Please see our website for more information.

2022 Adoption Fee Scale for non-benefactor animals:
Puppies under 12 months - $350
Dogs over 12 months - $250


*Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Southeast Louisiana, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our animals live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it’s the perfect match!
