Meet Mally

HOMEOWNERSHIP REQUIRED!

Introducing Mally, also known as Annabel! This beautiful 7-year-old Hound mix possesses a heart of gold. Originally adopted as a young pup, Mally faced the unfortunate circumstance of being returned to the rescue. The reason behind this return was her protective nature towards the new human baby in the home, especially in the presence of smaller dogs and a newer puppy. Mally was simply acting on her instincts.

With open arms, 2BABR welcomed Mally back and she has since successfully completed a rigorous board and train program. It is likely that she would do best in a home with no small dogs, and she is not a fan of cats.

Mally's obedience training has been a resounding success, showcasing her commitment to learning commands such as sit, lie down, and stay. Consistency in training has played a crucial role in establishing a solid foundation for her obedience skills.

Given Mally's selectivity, proper introductions are deemed necessary to facilitate positive interactions with both humans and dogs. Understanding her need for structured introductions ensures a smooth and comfortable experience, contributing to her overall well-being.

Mally has revealed herself to be a true "people's dog." Her social nature and affinity for human interaction make her a delightful companion. While she may be selective with other dogs, her love for people creates an opportunity for meaningful connections and bonding.

Thriving on attention, Mally's ideal home would be one that offers a supportive and nurturing environment. A small family with well-mannered dogs would be optimal for her continued growth and happiness. Though she tends to become anxious around other dogs at times, progress has been made, and efforts to continue working on this aspect are ongoing.

Mally's progress this week reflects a journey of resilience and positive transformation. From successful playgroup integration to advancements in obedience training, Mally's story is one of achievement and promise. With continued dedication and understanding of her unique needs, further milestones are anticipated in her ongoing journey.
