Malique

Malique is a beautiful purebred Siberian Husky. She is 5 years old, spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on all of her shots and vaccinations. She is black and white with ice-blue eyes.<br/><br/>Malique has been primarily an outside dog. She had a large yard with an electronic containment system, but she been known to go through the boundaries to chase small animals. <br/><br/>This gorgeous Husky is fine with other dogs (has lived with a larger male dog), but would probably not do well in a home with cats or small dogs whom she <br/>might view as prey. Malique is good with adults, children of all ages and has a vocabulary of interesting sounds including a chortle, but she is not a barker. <br/> <br/>Malique would do best with a large yard with a secure fence, preferably a wooden privacy fence. She walks nicely on a lead and would enjoy an active home that would continue taking her on her evening walk. Just because she has not had the advantage of being inside with her family doesn’t mean she wouldn’t learn to love that interaction at all! After meeting her, Illinois Humane volunteers are, in fact, convinced she would enjoy some human pampering.<br/> <br/>To visit with Malique, please join us at our off-site adoptions at PetCo, 2721 S. Veterans Parkway, Springfield, Ill., on the first Sunday and fourth Saturday and Sunday of each month or the second and third Sundays at Springfield’s PetsMart on Veterans Parkway.
