He has shown himself to be a remarkably sweet, curious, and adaptable young dog. He quickly learned to use the dog door, enjoys trips to the dog park, and handles new people, sounds, and surroundings with confidence.<br/><br/>At 11⁄2 years old, Major still has a playful, youthful spirit, but he is mature enough to settle easily into a new routine. He is friendly, affectionate, and gentle—the kind of dog whose enormous heart matches his enormous paws.<br/><br/>Major is scheduled for surgery next week and should be ready for adoption the week of July 20. He is looking for a family that understands giant breeds and will give him the security and lifelong commitment he almost lost.<br/><br/>Major did not deserve to die because someone decided he was inconvenient.
