Major's Story

Major is an almost 2-year-old Basset Hound x Pembroke Welsh Corgi mix. He is very friendly and loves to cuddle! Major is very playful and good with other dogs and cats (his foster does not have any but he has been introduced). He is gentle and loves to hang out as much as loves to go for a walk. Major has learned fun new tricks and is working toward being Canine Good Citizen certified. He is house trained and crate trained. His home life changed and he was surrendered because they did not have time for him and wanted a better home for him. Major is very polite meeting new people and children (he does not live with any). Major would do best in a home that has plenty of time for him and one that will want to continue is CGC training and the Barn Hunt and Nosework he has been introduced to.
Major is neutered and current on vaccinations and heartworm test and preventative.
To help pay for vet bills and care (transportation, food, toys, etc..) a $250 donation is requested at the time of adoption. All of our adoptions are contingent upon an approved application, home visit, reference check, obedience training agreement, and signing of adoption contract. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. Our dogs are companion animals that live indoors as part of your family. Please do not apply if your plan is to have them as outside dogs, garage dogs, porch dogs or outside kennel dogs. We do not ship dogs.
All of our dogs are in private foster homes. We are not a shelter with hours. A visit can be arranged after an adoption questionnaire has been filled out and sent in. Please try to email first. We are all volunteers that work so we can not easily take or make phone calls.
