Maisey's Story
Maisey is one of the sweetest dogs you could ever meet. She came to us several months ago, and since then, her world has expanded significantly. She loves meeting and playing with different dogs and new people. We've accomplished crate and house training, and she walks exceptionally well on a leash. Maisey also knows basic obedience commands.

Maisey is about 3 years old and weighs 23 pounds; she is fully grown and maybe a mix of a pocket-size breed of a sort. Nonetheless, she's perfect and ready for a happy forever family and home.

Maisey is a sweetheart and easily pleased. She is good with cats and dogs and has lived with young children.

An active home with other friendly, playful dogs would be ideal.

Maisey needs a home with an active playful pack and patience nurturing humans. She is cat and all-size dog-friendly. Someone home mostly. Kids are a plus. Can be timid/shy with people but warms up easily. She is easily food/treats and toys, praised motivated. She loves her daily walks, hikes, trails, car rides, and all outdoor activities. She rides beautifully in the car.

She meets all other dogs graciously socially and immediately becomes a best friend. She is respectful and seeks guidance from other dogs and people. She is a submissive follower and very hungry to please. Eager to fit in. She wants to explore experience and be part of it all.

Maisey is house and crate-trained. Walks excellent on a leash. Loves her daily walks. Lives for outings. She knows basic obedience commands, and her recall is solid, although she can be spooked, so we continue to work on this. We continue to build her confidence. We are doing well with a committed routine and we are actively working on basic obedience training. Reassuring her confidence while encouraging independence and socialization. We are succeeding with progress.

?Visit our adoption website AdoptAHRescue.org

•Friendly with- Children - Cats - Rabbits - Dogs - Small-breed dogs - Senior pets.

**All Adoptions Include:**
- Spay/Neuter procedure
- Rabies vaccination (offered with 1 or 3-year options)
- Comprehensive core vaccinations, including Leptospirosis and Coronavirus (available for 1 or 3 years)
- Negative heartworm test (if of age)
- Monthly prevention for heartworm, fleas, and ticks
- Negative Lyme disease test
- Deworming and negative faecal test
- Completion of all necessary testing within the last 6-12 months
- All age-appropriate medical needs addressed (blood work, dental check-ups, testing, and medications)
- Lifetime microchip registration with free unlimited updates
- A recommendation to feed a high-quality protein diet
•Veterinary records included

**Adoption Processing:**
- The review of adoption applications, meet and greet, and citation can take up to three weeks.
- A minimum of two meet-and-greet sessions with dogs is required before adoption.
- A home visit with the adoptable pet.
- Out-of-state adopters are welcome at their own expense.
- We DO NOT ship our adoptable pets.
- Adoption fees are payable at the time of adoption.
- No money exchange or requests are required before adoption.
- Payment plans are not available.
Travelling to adopters may be possible at the adopter's expense, with a minimum charge of $60 in addition to the adoption fee.

**For Former AHRS Adopters:**
- A donation of your choice is appreciated, but no formal adoption fee is required; your generosity is valued.

Training is an ongoing journey that requires daily attention; new challenges and opportunities for learning arise routinely and should be embraced.
