Meet Mai Tai!<br/><br/>Mai Tai is a 7-year-old Yorkshire Terrier with a gentle heart that's just beginning to discover how wonderful life can be. After being surrendered by a breeder, he's learning that people can be kind, patient, and full of love.<br/><br/>This handsome tan little guy gets along beautifully with other dogs of all sizes and would enjoy having a canine companion to help him continue building confidence. He's making great progress with potty training and is learning to use the doggy door like a champ.<br/><br/>Mai Tai can be a bit skittish at first, so he'll need a family that understands the importance of moving slowly and speaking softly. Once he realizes you're a friend, he starts to relax and even enjoys gentle pets. While being held can make him a little uneasy at first, he settles in with reassurance and affection.<br/><br/>He's an easy houseguest with a wonderful routine. When his foster family is away, he does well in his pen and patiently waits to go outside. At night, he goes potty, may enjoy a small snack, and then happily curls up in his special spot on the bed, sleeping through the night without accidents. He's a good eater, rides nicely in the car once he settles down, and only barks to let you know he's ready to come out when you get home.<br/><br/>Mai Tai isn't looking for perfection-he's looking for patience, kindness, and a family willing to let him blossom at his own pace.
