Magic Mic's Story

This energetic, social guy is always ready to get out and enjoy the moment. He loves being around people and soaks up every bit of attention he can get, happily leaning in for pets from head to tail. Magic Mic has a playful, goofy side and enjoys romping around the yard chasing toys; he’s just still working on what comes next once he catches up to them! While he’s not a fan of veterinary exams or being restrained (fair enough), he doesn’t let it stick with him. Once it’s over, he’s quick to bounce back and get right back to collecting treats and affection like nothing ever happened.

Magic Mic already knows most of his basic commands and has an eagerness to keep learning. His previous owners shared that he is housebroken and crate trained, and he knows sit. He’s very food motivated and enjoys training, making him a fun and rewarding dog to continue working with. He previously lived successfully with a female dog and a young child, and he’s shown appropriate, easygoing behavior when passing other dogs at the shelter. As an active boy, he’ll thrive in a home that can keep up with his energy and continue giving him outlets for both play and learning. Even though he has positive notes when it comes to his doggy social skills, he will still benefit from a proper decompression period followed by slow, gradual introductions to any resident pets in his new home to help set everyone up for success.

Intake Reason: Owner Surrender due to moving/ loss of housing

This pet is up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered and microchipped. Adoption hours are 12-5pm daily (arrive by 4:30) at 13800 Manor Road in Baldwin. Head to our ‘Adoption Resources’ tab for more information on our adoption process, fees and exceptions!
