Maggie's Story
If you're looking for a tiny dog (13 lbs) with a giant capacity for love, Maggie is ready to apply for the position.

At 1 year old, this adorable Poodle mix is an elite-level snuggler. Her favorite place in the world is curled up next to her person, often with her little nose tucked into your chest. Shell happily come running when you call her, melt into your hands for pets, and remind you every day just how wonderful it is to be loved by a dog.

Maggie is also bright, athletic, and eager to learn. She enjoys staying busy and would love a family that will keep her mind engaged with training, puzzles, and new tricks. She seems to be house trained, tolerates her crate (even if it isn't her favorite), and has an adorable nesting habit—give her a blanket and shell build herself the cutest little cozy fort you've ever seen.

While Maggie has so much to offer, she's looking for a home that understands she's still a work in progress. She can be barky towards other dogs when out on walks and strongly believes the couch and humans are hers and hers alone — she's not afraid to let a resident dog know this. Some good boundaries and leadership minimize these issues. Because she's incredibly enthusiastic about staying close to her people (sometimes very close!), she can end up underfoot, making her a better fit for an active home rather than one with anyone unsteady on their feet.

Maggie enjoys respectful older children (about 78 years and up). She may do well with a confident, independent dog that can help show her the ropes, but shed also be perfectly happy soaking up all the attention as your one and only canine companion.

If you're ready to invest in a smart, affectionate little dog who will reward you with endless cuddles and unwavering devotion, Maggie is ready to meet you.

With the right family, Maggie is going to be an incredibly loyal, entertaining, and deeply devoted companion.

Maggie is being fostered in Thornton, Colorado.

*We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs.*

You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/maggie/.

You can apply for our wonderful dogs at https://www.milehighcanine.org/adopt/adoption-application/.
