Maggie's Story
Meet Maggie!

Maggie is a 4-year-old, 42 pound Aussie/Border Collie mix who is fully vetted and house trained.

Maggie is everything you'd expect from a true herding girl-smart, sensitive, and full of personality. This sweet girl is looking for a home that understands her breed and is ready to help her thrive. The foster/trainer that Maggie is staying with right now reports that she is EXTREMELY smart and would need to go to a home with someone who understands working breeds.

Maggie does well with other dogs, especially those who respect her space and allow her time to feel comfortable. Once she settles in, her gentle and loving nature really shines.

Like many herding breeds, Maggie forms strong bonds with her people and can experience some separation anxiety. She will need a secure crate and a patient family willing to help her build confidence when left alone. The good news about her crating is after a little initial protest, she does settle down.

Maggie will do best with an active home that can provide her with the physical exercise and mental stimulation she craves. Because of her natural instincts, she would do best in a home with older, respectful children.

We're not yet sure how Maggie feels about cats, but we're happy to arrange a cat test if needed.

If you're looking for a loyal, intelligent companion and are ready to give Maggie the structure and activity she needs, she just might be your perfect match.

Apply Here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FCOH/Dog

*If you are viewing this profile on Petfinder, please note integration issues between our shelter program and Petfinder often occur and limit what you can see.
