Mae's Story

A sad story of betrayal

Mae came to SSBR several weeks ago. She was once a loved indoor companion but forced to live outside. Finally she was surrendered to us to find a new home. We didn’t know much about her but knew we had to help.

Off went one of SSBR’s best foster mom’s to pick her up. Initially she was ok... until reality set in that her entire world changed. She just didn’t realize it was for the better. She shut down completely, scared to death to go outside for fear she’d get locked outside. She was scared of people, other dogs, any noise.

It took about a week to come around but when she finally did, she blossomed! She is now great with the other dogs in her foster home, goes outside to potty and loves her foster mom! She’s now a happy, sweet and easy going gal!

We are looking for the perfect LOUISIANA BULLDOG LOVING FAMILY for her. We are hoping to keep her somewhat local to her current foster so the adjustment isn’t huge. She will be spayed, vaccinated UTD and microchipped. Mae is about 2 yrs old and an English Bulldog.

Apply online at https://www.southernstatesbullyrescue.org/blank
