Mae's Story
Meet Mae!

Mae is a 1-year-old, 63 lb sweetheart who came to the shelter as a stray feeling incredibly overwhelmed. While it took her some time to settle in, she's been building confidence every day and is becoming a happier, more outgoing version of herself.

These days, Mae happily greets staff and volunteers at the front of her kennel and genuinely enjoys spending time with the people she knows. Watching her personality come out has been one of the most rewarding parts of getting to know her.

Mae has an active side and would love a family that enjoys getting outside with her. She also shows positive interest in other dogs and enjoys running the fence and interacting with them, though she can sometimes come on a little strong with her excitement.

Mae is looking for a family that will continue helping her build confidence while giving her the active, loving home she deserves.

As always, we strongly recommend that resident dogs meet any new potential canine family members. If bringing a resident dog for a dog to dog test, please bring proof of Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccines.

To meet/adopt, visit us in Greensboro, NC from 12-4pm any day except Tuesdays; no appointment needed.
