She was kept in a cage with many other Bichons at an illegal puppy mill in Busan, South Korea. The mill was located between two dog-meat slaughterhouses, where dogs who were no longer able to breed were either sold to the slaughterhouses or used in unproven medicinal tonics.<br/><br/>Maddie and her sisters were among the lucky ones who survived. They were eventually sent to Canada for a better chance at finding loving homes.<br/><br/>Maddie has now been in our care for eight months. Finding the right home for three dogs together can be difficult, so we have decided to try placing Maddie on her own. She is easy going.
