Macy (Mini Aussie)'s Story

Meet Macy! This pint sized dymano recently arrived into the rescue. Macy is a lovely smooth (short) coat mini aussie- a stunning tri-merle color. Macy is making great strides in her foster home. While Macy can be unsure in new situations outside of the home, she Braveheart inside the house! Macy sports some basic skills (housetrained, sit, walks on a leash, etc), but like all very young dogs, she would benefit from further training to give her structure and finish her skill sets. This little girl is SMART and will be a breeze to finish. Like most herding dogs, she bonds closely to her people and wants to please. Macy is a full herding breed, so someone that understands their needs and traits would be ideal. Macy may make a great agility partner! Macy gets along with other friendly dogs, and lives with 4 other dogs in her foster home, but becasue she can play intense, older dogs may not prefer her exuberence. Macy loves chew toys and is starting to learn how to fetch. This young girl does well with older kids, but is not a match for young children at this time. She rides fine in a car and walks well on leash in her halter. Macy is 11 months old and is fully grown at 31 lbs. Macy would do best in a home with a large yard where she can play fetch, and will need other daily exercise (walks, hikes, etc). Lovely Macy is being fostered in Elizabeth, CO
