Mack's Story

Hi my name is Mack. I am a 2 year old mixed breed Pointer/Lab. I am a very stunning boy who has been at the shelter for over 240 days. I arrived at the shelter needing a little extra TLC. I had a few health hurdles to overcome when I first got here, but I've been a total trooper! Thanks to the many volunteers, the vet clinic, and my own resilient spirit, I am officially cleared and healthy. I will still have some minor, easily managed seasonal allergies (which just means I might need a specific diet and a quick daily pill to keep me from itching). I do like car rides, and taking walks. I do not like being left outside by myself. I am a sensitive guy who finds the whole shelter life overwhelming. I need a quiet home. I am not the type to jump onto anyone or bark for your attention. I am curious, but only as a sign of cautious behavior. I would make a great only pet with anyone who would have a predictable routine, and is also kind and patient. I have watched many dogs come and go, but know my special home and person is out there.

An adoption application for Mack can be completed and submitted at yorkadoptapet.com.
