Macaroni is a Pyr and Border Collie mix, and one of six puppies in our “Pasta Litter,” raised with his mom and other dogs in his foster home. He’s the smallest boy and the only pup blessed with long, fluffy fur — a soft white coat with a touch of cream on his face that makes him instantly endearing. True to his Pyr side, Macaroni has a calm, quiet nature and loves finding little hideaway spots to curl up for a nap. He enjoys greeting people, soaking up affection, and happily settling in for cuddles. When playtime starts, he’s all in — romping, wrestling, playing keep‑away — and then he’s ready to stretch out and observe the world around him. With Border Collie smarts and a Pyr’s natural curiosity, Macaroni will absolutely find an escape route if one exists — and once he’s out, he’ll simply sit there taking it all in, looking back at you like, “What are you doing in there?!” Because of this, he will require a 5-foot secure fenced yard and a family who understands the traits of both breeds. Ideally, he’d love a large-breed canine buddy, but he can also do great as an only dog if his people are home often and committed to keeping him social with plenty of playdates.
