Mable is a delightful, sweet, and affectionate pup with a heart made of gold. She is a mix of German Shepherd and possibly a smaller breed. She's about 55 pounds on the shorter side. The perfect size for lap cuddles and afternoon naps.
Two words that come to mind are affectionate and playful. Mable does examine all new situations, places, and people before joining in. It does take a little more time for her to warm up to men but the foster has been working on that (bonus point for treats being given). She is shy and will bark at new people, but once her confidence and comfort levels come, she will happily greet you with a big kiss and twirling tail wags. Mable is currently living with two young kids. And boy does she love the little humans! She would be the happiest if another canine sibling was in the house to share their lives together. We would like her to have a k9 Brother to live in the home. While Mable has briefly met a cat, we feel that she may do best in a home without a cat or small animals.

When excited or happy her long tail does circles. Her favorite pastime includes running around, chasing her canine fosters around the yard. She does require at least a 5 foot fenced in yard. She can run full speed ahead but also can take it down a notch to play at the other dogs energy level and capabilities if they are less than her normal high energy. Snuggling up to her human fosters for kisses and belly rubs while watching tv or listening to the children read to her is one of her best times of the day. She can be a bed or couch hog, but she thoroughly enjoys her time with her human friends.

Mable is ready to join her fur-ever family in any fun filled activity they choose. She has the high energy that would go for mile long walks or when it's time to play fetch and get the zoomies. There are also the happy relaxing times when a chew toy or doggie puzzle that gives her the mental stimulation she needs before taking a nap, curled up right beside her fosters. She would love to do some more basic obedience with her family so they can bond, while building that confidence.
Mable is more than ready to find her fur-ever home where she can build on her confidence through positive experiences and of course all the love the family will spoil her. We recommend a 6' fenced, secure yard to adopt this Puppy.

As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed, and approved.

We do not allow our dogs to be tied, tethered, chained or secured on a tie out for any of our dogs. We do not allow our shepherds to go into homes with an underground electronic fence system.
