Mabel's Story

Meet Mabel a 22-pound, blonde bombshell with eyelashes that belong on a magazine cover!

At 23 years old, this adorable poodle mix is equal parts beauty and sweetheart. Mabel can be a little reserved when meeting new people, but she warms up quickly and soon reveals her favorite hobbies: snuggling, being carried around like the princess she knows she is, and soaking up all the love from her humans.

Mabel gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would likely do well with a dog-savvy cat. Shes also proven herself mostly trustworthy around free-range chickensabout 90% of the time. The other 10%? Lets just say she occasionally mistakes them for potential chicken sandwiches. Chickens in a secure coop, however, are no problem at all!

She is quiet as a mouse in her crate, though convincing her to go inside may require a little bribery. Given the choice, Mabel would much rather be curled up on the couch or snoozing in bed with her people. Furniture privileges would definitely be on her wishlist.

Mabel already knows how to use a doggy door and would love a home with a patio or yard where she can spend time enjoying the fresh air. Shes still learning the ropes when it comes to leash walking, but shes making steady progress. She is not a high energy dog more medium-to-low. She sheds minimally and her coat will require regular grooming.

If youre looking for a gentle, affectionate companion with movie-star looks, a sweet personality, and a love for cuddles, Mabel may be your perfect match.

Mabel is being fostered in Mead, Colorado.

*We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs.*

You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/mabel/.

You can apply for our wonderful dogs at https://www.milehighcanine.org/adopt/adoption-application/.
