She is a 5 months old puppy and has everything you expect a puppy to have: plenty of energy and happy-to-see-you jumping, silliness and cute clumsiness, wet kisses and warm snuggles. Luna's favorite thing to do is follow you around until you are ready for a long nap on the coach. Luna loves playing with her foster siblings and chewing on a good bone after. <br/>She is curious about cats but does not chase them and can become good mates with them if introduced properly. She currently lives in a house with a 9 year old child and they are best friends.<br/><br/>Luna is smart, she knows "sit" and understands the idea of "stay". She is crate trained and is in the process of house training with rare accidents here and there. She walks on a leash nicely but needs guidance as she is a little shy of strangers and new places. She did great on a 4 mile hike during 70 degree weather on Wednesday and enjoyed rolling in snow on Friday (She loves Boston weather!). After your application is approved, the foster parent for the dog you have selected will contact you to answer any questions you may have and determine if that dog is a good match for your family. <br/>If you have no particular dog in mind, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you if the right dog should come into rescue. Catahoula Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer group. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own. All dogs have received vaccinations appropriate to age and are spayed or neutered. <br/>Luna’s adoption donation is $400 which includes Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, fecal test, heartworm test when appropriate and is on preventative, and microchip. Based on her age, Luna is not spayed and will be adopted with a Spay/Neuter Agreement. We do not have a physical shelter, all of our dogs are fostered in individual foster homes across the New England and Canada.
