Luna Harrison #7495's Story

Luna is a 7 year old, 90ish lb, female Great Pyrenees looking for her chance at happiness. She was literally saved from euthanasia by GRRAND and her temporary foster home. This is only until the 1st of the year and we desperately need a foster or forever home for this sweet girl. She had been in the shelter and they reached out to GRRAND as they had no room.

Luna is settling into foster life with so much sweetness, personality, and quiet determination. Her foster mom's update paints the picture of a smart, gentle girl who is already winning hearts. She tells GRRAND:

Luna is currently on restricted activity while she recovers from her heartworm injection, so she's spending time in a pen—but her clever little brain has other plans. She has already figured out how to sneak under the pen and escape into the family room. Her foster says they've had to stay on top of her meds and keep her busy so she doesn't try it again. This girl is smart, curious, and full of personality.

She's also incredibly quiet. She hasn't barked at all—except when she spots a hawk, which makes her foster think she may have had experience around chickens in her past.

They say Luna's personality and behaviors are:

- She is very friendly and gentle with everyone she meets

- Strong but great on a leash, staying close and walking politely

- Gets along beautifully with the elderly cat and the male golden in the home

- Not a fan of the crate

- Will sneak into the trash if it's left uncovered

- Smart, observant, and full of quiet charm"

Her foster mom shared something especially sweet about the impact Luna has had:

“Having her here has helped my dog grow and learn to play and live with a friend. Which was sorely needed lol.”

Luna isn't just thriving—she's helping her foster mom's dog thrive too.

Luna is gentle, clever, and full of heart. She's going to make an incredible companion for the family lucky enough to bring her home.

We are learning about Luna, but we do know that she will need a home with a fenced in yard as the Great Pyrs love to roam and patrol, and they do this best in a secure fenced in area. She is VERY sweet and geeze, look at her face... She is looking for love!

As we learn more, we will update, but if you can help Luna please fill out an app at GRRAND.org
