Luna's Story
Luna
4 years, 14lbs
Rescued in the Southwest

Meet Luna (aka Ms. Luna Girl)! This sweet, loving, happy little 15-pound girl has low energy and simple needs — she's happy to head outside, take care of business, and come right back in to relax. She handles new situations with easy curiosity, saying hello to dogs and people who pass by, and she's just as content sitting independently as she is cuddled up next to you. She follows you from room to room, hops on and off the sofa and bed with ease, and genuinely adores her people already.

Luna is totally potty trained with zero accidents in the house, loves her crate (she'll nap in it with the door open and handles a full night and a 3-hour workday alone without any issue), and is great on leash — she's even happy being pushed in a stroller to take in the sights of a new neighborhood. She knows her name, waits at the edge of the kitchen on command, and understands "no" (mostly when she's impatient for her food). She sleeps through the night, loves treats of all kinds, and enjoys quiet window-watching as the world goes by.

Luna is recovering from a skin allergy (she was sent north to relieve her Southern grass allergy) - she's adapted beautifully to the concrete jungle and would make a gentle, loving companion for someone with a calm, easygoing lifestyle.

INTERESTED IN ADOPTING?
To adopt Luna, apply on our website www.truenorthrescue.org/adopt and email adopt@truenorthrescue.org to follow up on your application.

PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL TO ASK IF HE/SHE IS AVAILABLE. IF THIS LISTING IS UP, THE DOG IS NOT ADOPTED YET.

Also, we have a very high volume of applications and we are all volunteers. We cannot respond to every application personally. Please make sure your application gives us a good picture of your family and the life you plan on providing a dog from our rescue. We choose a home based on the BEST FIT for EACH dog and approve on a dog by dog basis. Thank you!
