Luna's Story
FIRST STEPS: Please visit https://www.save-a-mutt.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an application - a Petfinder Inquiry is not the adoption process. We don't do meet and greets until applications have been approved. All our dogs are located IN Washington State. We are a local foster home based rescue.

Luna is a delightful lady who is dreaming of a forever home. She is gentle and quiet and would love to belong to a family that will include her in their plans. Luna loves an adventure! She can usually be found on top of or under a pile of blankets right beside her people. She also loves relaxing in the warmth of the sunbeams as they stream through the window. Luna finds happiness wherever she goes. She will need a patient family willing to establish a predictable schedule while she adjusts to a new potty routine.

Luna has lived with other dogs and would enjoy a canine companion that possesses the same gentle demeanor that she possesses. We aren't sure if she has ever lived with cats but her gentle nature tells us that she would be fine. We do ask that any cats in the home have a safe place to observe Luna as she adapts to her new surroundings. Luna is a very affectionate girl and she loves everyone she meets. Because of the quick and unpredictable nature of young children we are asking for a home without children under 10 years of age.

Luna recently received a Senior Wellness Exam with bloodwork. She has grade 1 left sided luxating patella and grade 2 right side luxating patella. Surgery is not warranted. Luna is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccines. She is 8 years old and weighs 12 pounds.

Please note, we have approximately a 200 mile adoption radius from Stanwood WA for our Senior Dogs. Save-A-Mutt may limit this distance based on the long term needs of this pet. We dont adopt out of state except to the Vancouver BC area. We dont ship dogs. Once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up their dog. For questions about this dog please call Elizabeth Woche, Senior and Special Needs Dog Coordinator, at 425-974-9479
