Luna's Story

Luna is an approximately 100 lb Great Dane mix. She found herself at a county shelter after her owner developed medical issues and was no longer able to care for her. She's very sweet, great with other dogs, house and crate trained. She loves hanging in the yard and sunning herself on the deck, playing, and going for walks. She enjoys being around her people but doesn't exhibit any signs of separation anxiety or destructive behavior. She would make an excellent family dog, with or without another dog in the home. And bonus, she's also good with kitties! Jet Wag Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
All potential adopters have to fill out an adoption application and we conduct a background check, home check, and vet check. We then schedule a video call between the potential adopter and one of our volunteers where we conduct an interview and give them the opportunity to ask questions about the animal and the process. If all goes well with that, we schedule a meet and greet with the adopter (and any current pets) with the potential new pet. To finalize an adoption the adopter must sign an adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Included in the adoption contract is the mandate that if they need to return / rehome their pet they must contact us immediately so we can work to find foster / adoption placement. We stay in close contact with all adopters after the adoption is completed.
