As we undergo construction at our shelter, our pups may be residing in a variety of locations! At this time sweet Luna is at Pinellas County Animal Services off of Ulmerton in Largo. When you arrive, ask for the Humane Society of Pinellas to be directed to Luna and our other amazing pups!

Luna is "all ears" for the word that she's finally going to get the forever home she deserves! This sweet girl is a gentle soul who hasn't had enough positive relationships in her life to trust that all people mean her well. Because of this, she can be timid in new situations or around new people. She has so much love to offer, she just needs someone who is willing to give her a little extra time to adjust. Taking it at her pace, offering her treats, and giving her choices is the recipe for a trusting bond that can't be broken. We've seen it ourselves here at the Humane Society where we have been blessed to earn her trust and be treated to the beautiful personality inside this gorgeous girl. Luna hasn't had many interactions with other dogs while she has been with us, but from what we've seen she may do well with a canine sibling. If you have a furry friend in the family, go ahead and bring them along so they can be part of the process! We can't wait to hear about how Luna's personality shines when she's finally where she belongs - with a family that loves and adores her!

We are open to the public on a first come, first serve basis and are limiting our capacity to 50% in order to keep both our staff and community safe during this pandemic. HSP continues to provide an essential service to the community by intaking pets in need and finding adoptive homes. In order to continue operations, we must reduce the potential spread of the virus by taking extra precautions. We ask that all visitors entering HSP facilities wear appropriate face or mask coverings while maintaining at least a 6 foot social distance.
