LULU's Story

LULU is a gorgeous, 85-lb., purebred Ridgeback. She has been in foster care for the past month and a half, learning to live indoors and getting vetted and spayed. This 3-year-old is a sweet, affectionate and easy-going girl. She is housebroken and crate trained and LOVES hanging out on any comfy dog bed (or human bed!). She's walking well on leash and does well on short car rides. She didn't have a lot of experiences in her first chapter of life, so many things have been new to her. She's taking it well, but enjoys a slow intro to anything unfamiliar. She is people-oriented and really likes her foster mom to be close by. She did great with a 6-month-old foster boy for a couple weeks, before he left for his new home. She attempted to be playful with him, but wasn't sure how to do it exactly...

Lulu would be wonderful in a quieter home, although she would probably do well with children as long as they were respectful. Any other dog in the household should also be on the calmer side and not push Lulu too much - she is very submissive and will shut down when pushed by another dog or a person. She is learning to trust those around her and really enjoys her current lifestyle a LOT.

Lulu is currently in the Santa Rosa area. If you would like more information about her, please email us at office@rincal.org. An adoption application can be submitted through our website, rincal.org

Lulu's adoption fee is $650. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.
