"I'm Luke Skywalker. I'm here to rescue you!" This big fella is suited up and ready to travel the galaxy to find a new home of his very own! Luke and his sister Leia have been fixed, vetted, microchipped, and have received a clean bill of health from our vet. These pups are both currently in search of a place to hang their leashes forever. Please read on for his story, and for instructions on how to request an application for him!<br/><br/>Here is what we know about LUKE SKYWALKER:<br/><br/>- Luke and his sister Leia are about 9 weeks old now, and weigh around 12-14lbs each. They are big pups - check out those paws! <br/><br/>- We know their mom is a bloodhound/lab mix, but dad is anybody's guess. Judging by the size and demeanor of Luke and Leia, we believe he was a gentle giant and definitely bigger than the momma dog. Best guess for size of Luke and Leia full grown is definitely in the large bracket - likely 75+ lbs or so. <br/><br/>- Luke and Leia were surrendered because they were an accidental litter. They were well cared for prior to coming to rescue, and have been experiencing a great upbringing in foster care. They are growing and thriving and receiving lots of TLC and playtime. They are both happy, healthy, and rambunctious pups who will need a family up to the fun challenges of puppyhood!<br/><br/>- Luke is very smart but is very much still a puppy so he will need lots of training and reinforcements to learn proper doggy manners and behavior when he gets to his forever home. Right now, he is doing really well with his leash walking. <br/><br/>- Luke is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and has received a clean bill of health.<br/><br/>- Luke currently lives happily in his foster home with other dogs and gets along just fine with them. We think he would do fine as an only dog or with a playmate who could handle some (large) puppy playtime!<br/><br/>- There are also cats in Luke's foster home, and he co-habits well with them. Any dog savvy cats who wouldn't be scared of his size or puppy antics should be fine!<br/><br/>- Luke would make a great family dog for kids 5+. He would love to grow up with a family of his own. He is fun and playful, but any young children would need to know how to respect doggy boundaries, especially while he is still a puppy.<br/><br/><br/>What we love about Luke: He has a heart of gold!<br/><br/>is Luke the one for you?
