Luke

This big, beautiful Great Dane youngster is 13 months old. His person died in a car accident and he ended up living with the man's unhoused daughter. She loved Luke and tried to keep him safe, but when she left him in care of someone else, he was tied up outside for an extended period of time and became terribly tangled and nearly lost his leg. She spent all her money on vet care to save the leg, but she realized she can't give him what he needs. Luke is a big happy, social boy who is friendly with people and dogs, and he's going to make someone very happy.<br/><br/>Luke is tall and lean and has very little muscle mass, but we expect hm to mature at 130-160 pounds. Danes often continue to grow for 18-24 months. Luke does well in the car and is crate trained.
