Luka Miniature Schnauzer Carrollton, TX

The sweet little mini can't believe his luck now that he's in a new foster home after being a stray dog. He went from having to find his own food and a safe place to sleep to being fed and loved in a nice home with friendly caregivers and a fun pet playmate. Luka is eighteen months old and weighs fifteen pounds. He's an energetic boy who loves to play and talk. He will need an active family and possibly another pet playmate to run out all his happy energy with. Luka loves that he has a food bowl that's automatically filled for him two times a day. His foster mom is working with him on his eating habits, specifically on eating slower. We think he probably wants to get in as much as he can just in case his luck runs out; although we know that won't happen. Luka is also learning to respect the personal space of others by not jumping up on each new person he meets. He's very smart. He knows his name, basic commands and enjoys playing fetch and chewing on squeaky toys. He sleeps well through the night and is house, crate and doggie door trained. We can tell that when he finds his new forever home, he'll be simply over the moon! Luka will spend all his time entertaining his new family with his adorable antics and being completely devoted to them. We think his new owners we'll feel just as lucky to have found him.
