Ludwig PC's Story
Meet Ludwig PC

Rescue Mom Patricia names me Ludwig, Luddie for short even though it’s still 6 letters girl. Self affurmations that I’ll say in my water bowl rufflection are:

I am big.

I am gentle.

I am young.

I am smart.

Yesterday Rescue Mom came into my kennel and it was covered in fur so she found a brush to try to get all the loose fur off. Let it snow! Let it snow! Funfetti. My white fur coat needs some grooming, but other than that I’m an automatic hunk.

I have done well meeting other dogs here. Based on my interactions Rescue Mom says with utmost confidence “this big guy is a champ!!!!”

I’m a gentle giant at around 80 pounds, and so sweet. I already know commands and went back into my kennel even though the door was open to avoid the more obnoxious dogs here.

If any of the troublemaker dogs try to challenge me I just give them a glance that says “please dear one, I’m going to ignore that”!

Rescue Mom also enjoys that I come when called and when she commands “hey, kennel”, I walk past all the nerdowells calmly and stoically, and get in my kennel! Although…er…um…Rescue Mom…”hey” is for horses not dogs m’am.

How did I get my name. Rescue Mom was thinking of the movie “Trip to Bountiful” written by Horton Foote when one of her rescue friends suggested name Ludwig.

Ludwig is a traveler in that film and I am traveling man myself. But unsimilar to the main character in that movie, I do not want to go back to my small hometown where I was discarded. I want to travel to a forever home.

Rescue Mom hopes you are looking for a…..and pardon my French here, just repeating Rescue Mom as good boys don’t curse….”frickin amazing and smart and respectful!”

Basics:

Ludwig PC- neutered male, 2 years, 80 lbs, could be German Shepherd (maybe mixed with Pyrenees or Lab), white, smart, gentle, good with dogs, kennel trained

Location : fostered in Goliad, but can be transported to other states

To see more of Ludwig's friends please visit https://www.doghousearthouse.org/available-dogs-puppies-males-females

To apply to adopt please visit https://www.doghousearthouse.org/adoption-application

Foster homes are always needed
