I am 11 months old, blue in color and weigh 20 pounds. I need a new home because my owner became ill. I am being fostered in St. Charles, MO.<br/><br/>My human mom gave me the best care and a lot of love. <br/>Since I spent my puppy life with a human mom and no other animals, I attach myself to the female human in the home. While I'm not attached to my foster dad or foster siblings, I do love to give them kisses. Giving kisses is my way of showing affection and I have lots of them to give. I give my foster siblings kisses in the morning to wake them up for school. <br/><br/>I can be around other animals but I'm not a playmate. I like to sit on the couch and chew on my toys. My foster mom says having chew toys is a must for my new home. I will play fetch throughout the day but it won't last long. <br/><br/>I like to be taken on walks. I have an interest that my foster mom hasn't seen before, jumping in and out of the bathtub and the shower, even if you are in it. <br/><br/>Since being at my foster home I have learned to use the doggy door and I was potty trained before coming here. This just shows I am quick at learning new things! I bark occasionally. I typically bark when startled by sudden talking when I am relaxed and snuggling. I'm your girl if you love doggy kisses, you have lots of love and chewing toys, and a little patience to train me on staying down.<br/> <br/>Here's a little more about me:<br/>Housetrained? Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption.<br/><br/>MABTR requires a fenced in area from families who own their home, however we DO adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases a leash law must be enforced. MidAmerica Boston Terrier Rescue's Adoption Policy
There is no fee for submitting an application with us. We are not affiliated with any other organization so we do require our application to be submitted in order to be considered. We prefer applications be completed online, We DO adopt to families with fenced in yards or those that live in apartments/condos. MABTR offers a two-week trial period with each adoption to ensure your new dog is a good fit. You only need to complete one application per household, not per dog of interest. MABTR will do our best to help transport any adopted dog within the 13 states we serve. We do not adopt outside of our service area, no exceptions. It may take us up to four days to process your application as we review applications twice a week.
