Meet Lucy in the Sky! <br/><br/>Lucy is a female, boxer/German shepherd mix, born December 2025! She came to B&B with her sister, Rita, from a local shelter. Lucy is affectionate, playful, and a goofy gal with the sweetest personality! She is a little nervous and loud noises scare her right now, but she is coming out of her shell more and more each day! She is happy girl who absolutely loves people! As soon as you walk in the room or make eye contact, her tail is already wagging and she is rolling over for belly rubs- being oh so cute! She is doing well with the other dog in her foster home and likes to play! Even at her young age, she would take an hour snuggling with her people over playing/treats any day! Her love language is for sure physical touch and she will literally fall asleep right in your lap after a nice walk! She is just such a goofy/clumsy girl who wants all the love! She is extremely loyal and will be your shadow, sitting at your feet while you work on laying on your lap on the couch! She is potty trained, crate trained, and currently working on “sit”! <br/><br/>Lucy is ready to be your most loyal companion, best friend, and professional cuddle bug! <br/><br/>Lucy is being fostered in Richmond, VA. She is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and monthly preventatives. Her adoption fee is $375 and covers the cost of age-appropriate vaccinations, microchip, and her upcoming spay. We require that all adopters, regardless of the dog’s age, are committed to ongoing training and socialization as part of responsible ownership. We require adopters to be within a reasonable distance of Richmond or Virginia Beach in order to complete spay/neuter with our approved clinics.<br/><br/>Note: Sending a Petfinder inquiry is not submitting an application. We require a completed adoption application to move forward with adoption.<br/><br/>Beagles and Bentleys has an across-the-board evaluative process that we apply to every application we review that prioritizes our animals in need. We conduct a vet reference check (all resident dogs must be altered/up to date on dhpp/rabies and monthly preventatives) and a virtual home visit call where we discuss the adoption process and see your home.
