Lucy's Story
Lucy has been waiting three years for a home of her own, and she's still holding out hope that her person is out there. She's an incredible girl, but can be timid at first and may bark or do a low growl when meeting someone new. Once she feels safe, she forms a deep bond and loves wholeheartedly. She's very affectionate and is known to give her favorite people big “hugs.” Lucy does well with other dogs, walks nicely on a leash, and enjoys getting out for regular walks. No cats for Lucy! She is a 5 year old American Staffordshire Terrier/Catahoula Leopard Dog/Lab mix (per Wisdom Panel). She's potty trained, crate trained, and non-destructive, so she is trusted to free roam in her foster home. Due to her breed mix, an apartment is not a good fit. If you're interested in giving Lucy the forever home she's been waiting for, please apply at www.rescuerowinc.org.

*Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 2-4 business days.

*You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck

*Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash or a check made out to Rescue Row):

Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee

Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee

Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs.
