Lucy's Story

Meet Lucy!

Lucy is a 9-month-old Australian Shepherd/Hound mix with Beagle, who is ready to find her forever family! She’s petite for her mix, absolutely adorable, and has that wonderful combination of sweet, playful puppy energy and already having some great life skills under her belt.

Lucy is currently being fostered with her sister and does well with other dogs. She also grew up around farm animals and has been exposed to plenty of different experiences. She’s even been out on the boat!

This girl is already proving to be a pretty great little companion. Lucy is good in the car, walks well on leash, and does well in a kennel. She’s affectionate, sweet, and would make a wonderful family dog. Because she’s still a puppy and can have that youthful energy, we think older kids would be the best fit for her.

Lucy has shown interest in the neighborhood cats but has never shown aggression toward them. We don’t yet know how she would do living with cats, so a cat introduction and appropriate supervision would be important.

At just nine months old, Lucy still has plenty of growing and learning ahead of her, but she already has such a great foundation. She’s looking for a family who will include her in their adventures, continue showing her all the good things life has to offer, and give her the forever home she deserves.
