Lucy Labrador Retriever Mix Westfield, NY

Lucy is an approximately 2-year-old spayed female Retriever mix. She is a sweet, affectionate, and lively dog who has learned a lot in her foster home.
Her foster family has this to say about her: Lucy has come a long way from her puppy habits. At this point she is housetrained, she doesn't chew on the furniture, but she does love chewing bones/sticks/antlers. She has gotten very good at understanding basic commands like sit, stay, stop, and down. Lucy has also become much better on her leash. She loves playing fetch and is very toy/play/treat motivated. Unfortunately, she still has a fixation on cats; she doesn't chase them anymore, but still has a high prey drive, so we would recommend a cat-free home. She is excited to meet new people and plays well with other dogs. Lucy is a big cuddler and sensory seeker who is eager to find her forever home!

If you think you might be interested in adopting, your first step should be to complete an  Adoption Application found on the website at caninerescue.org.   *After you have completed your application, you will get a confirmation that we have received your application. It takes a lot of time to process the applications, so we ask for your patience while we do so. If you see that the dog you were interested in has been adopted it means there were many applications for that dog and we did not get as far as processing your application before a home was found. We do adopt out of state, however we do not transport or ship dogs. Potential adopter must be able and willing to travel to the Rescue to meet the dog they are interested in.
