Lucy's Story

Meet Lucy – Ready for Her Second Chance at Life
Lucy is a 7-year-old Red Tick Brittany Spaniel/Lab mix with the sweetest soul and the most loving heart. For the first seven years of her life, Lucy lived in a small outdoor kennel with only the bare essentials — food, water, and minimal shelter. She never knew playtime, walks, or the simple joy of being loved. Neighbors tried for years to help her, and finally, her owner agreed to let her go so she could have the life she truly deserves.

Now, Lucy is safe in a loving foster home, and she’s thriving! She’s discovering how wonderful life can be — soft beds, cozy blankets, and lots of affection. She’s learning to walk on a leash, loves going on walks, and has had no potty accidents in her foster home. Lucy is very smart and is already picking up on simple commands. She is also being introduced to toys — something she never had before — and we’re excited to see her learn the joy of being spoiled with lots of them!

Lucy has a gentle, affectionate temperament. She loves everyone she meets — people, friendly dogs, and even cats. She recently met small children and happily soaked up all their attention. She’s been spayed, is heartworm negative, and is up to date on rabies, flea, and heartworm prevention. Lucy’s favorite things? Snuggling in bed, lounging on a blanket near you, and enjoying her newfound freedom. This sweet girl has waited far too long for love. Now it’s time to give her the forever home she’s been dreaming of — one filled with kindness, patience, and endless cuddles.

If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle companion who will fill your home with love, Lucy is your girl. Let’s make Lucy’s remaining years the best years of her life.
If you’re interested in meeting Lucy or learning more about her, please reach out — she’s ready to meet her new best friend! If you would like to meet this cute young lady, contact Kristin at (865) 599-4262 or email us if you would like more information.
