Lucy's Story

**AVAILABLE for adoption!**
Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

Lucy is a 8 yr old spayed female purebred Australian Shepherd. She is healthy, spunky, well trained and has been well loved. She belonged to an elderly couple who succumbed to age related ailments and illness and could no longer take care of her. Their adult son came to take care of their estate and dropped Lucy off at the local shelter.
We stepped in and whisked her to safety with the help of many important volunteers transport coordinators and drivers! Couldn't do it without all of you!!
Lucy is housebroken, very good on a leash, good with other dogs and didn't seem interested in our cats at all. She is a higher energy gal for a senior, but she does have an off mode and sleeps quietly in the middle of the living room for evening wind down. She knows how to "sit up pretty" and "shake your paw" as well as the basic sit, stay, lay.
