Lucy Border Terrier Mix Austin, TX

Miss Lucy is ready for a furever home! She is around 4 years old, spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, on flea/tick/hw prevention, heartworm negative, fully vetted.

Our director recently had Lucy at Wags for 10 days and cant say enough about her sweet personality. She just wants to be LOVED! She is truly a great dog! Her previous owner was homeless & needed medical care. He did the best thing for Lucy & asked for help. Lucy understands commands & is very observant/smart.

Lucy LOVES smaller dogs. She is very gentle and plays well with them. We think she was likely a mother at some point. She even recently climbed ever so gently into the basinet with our newest little rescue to offer comfort. She for sure plays hard with the big dogs though. So if you have a big dog that would appreciate this, could be a perfect fit lol.

She is fully CRATE trained! She sleeps in crate peacefully and when we are out. When we let her out in the morning she immediately jumps in the bed to snuggle, which makes us giggle a little.

We are working on jumping from excitement when we get home. She is getting better and better at this. Foster believes it has a lot to do with how excited all the other dogs get as well.

Lucy has a best friend named Ollie that is also a rescue and needs a home. Black lab mix but couldn't post pictures here, had too many of Lucy. He was rescued from Puerto Rico with broken legs and has made a full recovery. Lucy and him play so well and get along great. Just wanted to mention incase anyone out there was thinking of taking on a pair, lol. Worth a shot. Can give more info on him as needed.
