Lucy's Story

Lucy (who is GREAT WITH KIDS!) came to the shelter with her sister Bella. Bella got adopted right away and Lucy was left behind. Lucy reminds us a itttle of a gremlin. She has the buggy eyes of the pug or Boston terrier, a white and bright underbite, and the fastest rollover act this side of Doc Holliday. She's a pistol. She knows what she wants and has the smarts and the cunning to get what she wants. Don't let that rollover and tickle my tummy act fool you. She can play dead with her paws pointing to the crisp blue sky, her eyes closed and no motion commotion anywhere. But look closer. And send some dogs by and she's up and running with the rest of the guys, especially the big ones. She learned to retrieve plastic squeaky toys today and had. . .well. . a ball. She's lap material, too. She will lick a little but mostly she juts out that underbite like a kid doing an imitation of a lipless person. She's got a subtle body (that's a pun for those of you in the know) of shiny dark brown/black brindle, sort of like a baby's stuffed mini tiger. She's a lot of fun and definitely a terrier type, active, smart and sassy. You'll like this pistol of a dog. Call or email Linda for more info at 601-373.1933 or 601.260.4189 or pepperpdoodle@yahoo.com. UPDATE: As of 10/31/2011 Lucky Lucy has a foster home while she is waiting for her forever home. She is still available for adoption but is no longer at the shelter. Foster home has 3 yr old twin girls and reports that Lucy IS GREAT WITH KIDS!!!
