Lucy's Story

LUCY - 4 years / 56 lbs / Siberian Husky

Bio:

Meet Lucy, a beautiful 4-year-old Siberian Husky with a loving heart, an easygoing nature, and just the right amount of goofy charm. At 56 lbs, Lucy is the kind of dog who brings warmth and companionship wherever she goes.

Lucy has a wonderful balance of energy. Like many huskies, she enjoys playful bursts of activity followed by plenty of time relaxing near her people. She absolutely loves other dogs and would thrive with a canine companion to bond and play with. Even dogs who may not immediately warm up to her often can’t resist Lucy’s friendly spirit.

Lucy has also lived peacefully in a home with a cat for two weeks without issue. With children, she may take a little time to feel comfortable, particularly around some men and kids, but she is gentle and non-aggressive. When unsure, Lucy simply pulls away rather than reacting negatively. Once she feels safe, her affectionate personality begins to shine.

Lucy is especially endearing in everyday life. She takes treats gently, enjoys being brushed, jumps happily into the car for rides, and makes an excellent coffee shop companion—content to quietly relax by your side while you enjoy your outing.

Lucy does have a slight limp in her front left leg due to past cruelty (she was tied behind a truck and dragged for two miles because she ate some chicken eggs) before rescue, but it does not slow her down or affect her enjoyment of life. She continues to embrace life with resilience and joy.

A secure yard would be a wonderful bonus for Lucy, though she can also do well in an apartment setting provided her people are home enough to give her companionship and inclusion in daily life.

Lucy is looking for a patient, loving home that will allow her the time and security to fully blossom. In return, she will offer loyalty, companionship, and plenty of husky personality wrapped into one very special girl.

If you think Lucy might be a good fit for your family, please submit an application!
