Lucy's Story

My name is Lucy. I am a precious Mini Dachshund. I am 1 year old and 10 lbs. Yes, I am full grown but still a puppy at heart in a lot of ways. I would make a great companion for a person or persons who would dote on me, carry me around, and keep me active and entertained. I would love to be your one and only dog. I have that classic Dachshund personality - I should be the most important thing in the room! :) If I did live with another, a bigger dog would be a better match. I spend the day playing with my toys, running in my yard and snoozing on the couch. In my new home, I will certainly want to go on strolls too! I love to go out on leash and explore and I get very excited when I see the leash come out! I have not been around younger children so 12+ would be a great starting point and we aren't sure on those cats. My forever humans need to live in a single family home... I am too talkative for an apartment! I also need people to be consistent with my routine. I fall in nicely when I have attention given to my bathroom schedule. After a few days of work and consistency, I will get it! And, if you need me to use a crate, I will. My humans have to realize that my breed, albeit tiny, has a strong willed mind but if my humans know what is best for me, I will follow suit. Dachshund experience is huge plus.
