Lucy's Story
Meet Lucy, a beautiful 4-month-old Great Dane mix with long legs, a lean build, and a heart that’s just as big as she’s going to be! This Dane/Corso/American Pitbull/Husky girl is expected to grow into a very big dog—and she’s already showing off that classic Dane elegance paired with playful puppy energy. At home, Lucy is outgoing, curious, and always on the move. She loves to wrestle and explore with her brother, chase toys of every kind, and soak up attention from her people. She’s already house- and crate-trained and understands commands like “No” and “Leave it” (even if her puppy attention span means she needs a few reminders). Leash training is underway, and with consistency and patience, she’ll continue to blossom. Out in public, Lucy can be a bit shy and nervous, but she’s making steady progress as she gains confidence and experience. Once her energy runs out for the day, her true soft side shines—she turns into a total snuggle-bug who wants nothing more than to curl up beside you (or right in your lap) and soak in your love and approval. Her sweet, curious expression says it all: Lucy just wants to be your good girl. Lucy would thrive in a home with another playful dog to help her learn the ropes and burn off energy. A fenced yard is required so she has a safe space to run, romp, and be her joyful puppy self. Currently fostered in Pilot Mountain, NC Interested in adopting Lucy? We require a fenced yard (exceptions made on a case by case basis - NO exceptions for puppies or deaf/vision impaired dogs - no invisible fencing), that stairs in the home be covered with some sort of slip resistant material to prevent injury, that all other animals in the home be up to date on vaccinations as well as spayed/neutered and that all dogs live inside as a part of the family. Our approval process consists of an application, vet and reference checks, phone interview and house check. Please email us for an application or if you have any questions.*****
