Lucky

Lucky is still waiting for his lucky break. <br/><br/>Lucky came into rescue at just 5 months old with an injured leg. He immediately went into a foster-to-adopt home, where everyone hoped he would grow into his forever family.<br/><br/>After multiple veterinary consultations, we learned that his leg was injured when he was a very young puppy and unfortunately was never treated. The good news is that he’s doing well, but the vets have recommended waiting until he reaches maturity before moving forward with an amputation.<br/><br/>Now 7 months old, Lucky has grown into a happy, energetic puppy with plenty of personality. As Lucky has gotten bigger and more confident, we’ve learned that he is simply too much puppy for a home with young children. <br/><br/>Lucky needs a home with older, dog-savvy children who can handle his playful energy, along with a family who understands that he may eventually need surgery on his leg. His new family will also need to be committed to continuing his training, reinforcing good behaviors, and providing the structure and consistency he needs to grow into the best version of himself.<br/><br/>He’s a sweet, happy boy who deserves a family that can keep up with him and love him exactly as he is. His first home gave him a wonderful start, and now we’re looking for the family who can give Lucky the forever home he’s been waiting for.<br/><br/>Sometimes finding the right home takes a little longer. We just need Lucky’s person to find him.
