Meet Lucia. She is a 1 year old, female, Yorkie mixed breed. This itty bitty girl loves nothing more than curling up in a warm lap and soaking up all the attention she can possibly get. Being close to her people is her absolute favorite place to be. Lucia enjoys playtime and has a fun, spunky side but she can sometimes be a little unsure and overwhelmed in new situations. Because of this, she’s looking for a dog savvy home that understands small dogs and can help her continue to build confidence at her own pace. She may occasionally find her voice when she has something important to say but most of the time she’s an angel. Due to her tiny size and sensitive nature, Lucia would do best in a home with older teens or adults who can respect her space and help her feel safe and secure. She’s expected to remain very small and delicate, making gentle handling especially important.<br/><br/>ADOPTION INFORMATION<br/><br/>HOW TO GO ABOUT ADOPTING: <br/>- Come in during adoption hours to apply and fill out an application completely. We have applications on site. Open adoption hours take place at 44 Worthington Road in Cranston, RI. We are open every Wednesday 3-7pm and Saturday 10am-2pm. <br/>- Fill out an online application to adopt by clicking here: https://tinyurl.com/4yy3nz2d <br/>- We require proof of homeownership (tax form, deed, mortgage statement) or landlord approval (a copy of your lease that clearly states you are allowed to have a dog, puppy, cat, or kitten OR written and signed consent from your landlord. <br/>- We require copies of up to date vet records for any current pets. <br/><br/>Helpful reminders:<br/>*We do not do same day adoptions.<br/>*Please bring the entire family in to meet the animal you are interested in. <br/>*We will setup a meet and greet with your dog at a later date. PLEASE do not bring your dog with you when you come in to apply.
