MEET LUCIA: We invite you to help our cherished resident, Lucia! Once you spend a little time with her, you’ll see just how affectionate and loving she is. She adores lying next to you and simply enjoying your company. Unlike many dogs, Lucia loves to stay close, seeking out your love and attention. She's great with other dogs and is quite clever, quickly picking up basic commands. However, she can be a bit cautious and a bite risk around strangers, so we encourage you to approach her gently. We’re working hard with Lucia to help her warm up to new faces, but trust is key, and it might take four to five visits for her to open up fully. It’s important to be mindful when introducing new people into your home, and we suggest some crate training as a helpful tool. It's tough to witness her initial shyness, but she forms a wonderfully strong bond once she accepts you. We’re here to support you in transitioning her to a new home by providing free food and assistance with her veterinary bills during her first year.
