Luchi's Story

Luchi
Male
4 years old
Fully vaccinated and neutered.

WE WILL CONSIDER FOSTER TO ADOPT.

This sweet pup has a sad story, and we are trying to help him. He lived in a home with a large dog, and both dogs were habitually getting out of the fenced yard. When they got out, they would bark at people in the area. Well Luchi is in no way a threat, but the bigger dog was much scarier and because Animal Control had so many complaints, they designated both dogs as potentially dangerous dogs. There was never a bite, but if the dogs are barking at people, the law states that if you feel like you have to defend yourself the dog could be dangerous. They had a hearing and the owners did not understand their rights, and they did not attend so both dogs were designated as Possibly Dangerous Dogs. All this means is the dog has certain conditions that need to be abided by and wherever poor Luchi goes he has to let the Animal Control Department know he is there and they need to approve him being at that location. So, we have already received approval from the City of Sacramento and the County of Sacramento and now poor Luchi is looking for a place to land. The designation was placed on him in El Dorado County. Wherever you are, we can let that AC Department know and it will not be a problem. The AC department have said they are glad to talk to anyone. He has not bitten anyone and he is a dream. These pics are from him at the shelter now and we are trying to get him out but need to register his new home. (Foster or adopted. We are all at limit or he would be out already.)

If you are interested in more information or meeting this pup. Please use the process here and INCLUDE YOUR PHONE NUMBER OR email us at resiliendogrescue@gmail.com and INCLUDE YOUR PHONE NUMBER.

We typically will text you to let you know we received your message and send you a questionnaire and set up a time to talk further. Resilient Dog Rescue 's Adoption Policy
Our multi-step adoption process includes an application, meet and greet, animal introductions when applicable, and a home check. We highly value the time and effort put into adoption applications, and encourage thorough, thoughtful responses as this is our primary avenue for getting to know your family. With that in mind, please be aware that applications with excessive blank or one-word responses may not be considered. Animal introductions will be done for each pet currently living in the household. While we are not here to judge your lifestyles, we also conduct home checks to ensure that the household and backyard will be a safe living environment for a SacRDR dog. The Declaration page of your Homeowners Insurance policy or an approval letter from your landlord must be submitted with your adoption application; these documents are required to ensure that your HOI or landlord covers/accepts the breed you are applying to adopt. If you have any additional questions, please email adopt@sacrdr.org.
