Meet Lucas

Meet Lucas! Lucas is a 4 year old 70 lb German Shepherd who entered Big Hair Animal Rescue last December. Prior to Big Hair Animal Rescue Lucas was spotted in the woods and thankfully a team of good Samaritans set out to trap him. Over the last few months he's gained 20 + lbs, completed heartworm treatment, and gained the much needed confidence required to embark on the next chapter of his life- the search for his very own family! Lucas requires a home with working breed experience, a fenced in yard, and a friendly playful canine sibling that will match his high energy and active lifestyle/ daily exercise needs. If Lucas is not active he will become anxious with a sedentary lifestyle. Lucas is suitable to live with older children, he's crate trained, up to date on vaccines and scheduled to be neutered in April next month at our vet partners. He has not been cat tested.
