Meet darling Lucas! Lucas was found injured and homeless by local authorities. We knew we could help this boy. We WANTED to help this boy. We brought him in to our rescue, had him vetted and his left front leg examined. It was determined that it was an older break that had already set itself. So we allowed him some time under our rescue to relax in safety so we could watch how he progressed with his leg. He is now ready for his forever home. This boy is darling. He's sweet as sweet can be. He's expressive and sensitive. He's silly and goofy. And lovable as the day is long. He is happy, happy, happy. He LOVES attention and will even tap you with his "bad" leg to get you to notice him. Lucas doesn't let his past injury get him down, his nature is to be happy and he has learned to adapt. He walks well on leash, was afraid of the cats we introduced him to but was fond of his female canine roommate. This boy is a gem. We feel he would be a wonderful addition to a loving home that is looking for a loving, affectionate, happy companion. He would love being taken out on walks to give him that mental and physical stimulation that dogs need and then snuggle and curl up beside you. Lucas' date of birth is estimated to be around December 2019 and he weighs approximately 65 lbs. He's neutered, up to date with vaccinations, micro-chipped and heart-worm negative.
