Louisa Boxer & Shar-Pei Mix Monticello, MN

Louisa is a middle aged, mid sized mystery mutt who has been in foster for a year now. She came in with her puppies a year ago, and they all went to new adventures. Louisa is waiting her turn, and needs a special family with dog experience to find her. She is reliably house trained, crates very well for the workday, listens well and respects/responds to limits and boundaries. She enjoys the company of most dogs, although one senior female at her foster she is overly bossy with. She is good with cats. Louisa would thrive in an adult home who can manage her with men. She was previously very abused by a man, which is why she was taken away, and it takes her awhile to warm up to new guys, but she does and then loves them. However, on walks, with company coming over, etc she is not trusted with men she doesn't know. If you can manage that one part, she is otherwise very enjoyable to live with and love. She's silly and very cuddly and listens well. She would do best with a fenced yard and when she has her daily visits to the hobby farm, she is in heaven and does very well there.
