When you look at Louie you probably see a noble, fierce looking boy. While he is noble (in a goofy kind of way), he is definitely not fierce! Louie is a very good boy that is house and crate trained. After a moment of initial excitement, he is good on a leash. He has nailed sit and is unenthusiastically working on down. Louie is a serene rider in the car, patiently waiting for you to get wherever you're going. We don't know what Louie may have faced in his life before Pixel, but we think someone was pretty harsh with him. You see Louie is a little timid. When we take him out for walks he is very friendly to people he meets. But he sometimes tucks his tail at new things. It takes Louie a little while to feel safe. He doesn't pull on his leash or try to get away, he is just cautious. Louie loves other dogs and plays well. He can be a little overwhelming to smaller dogs because he's just so happy to be playing and may get a little too excited. We are working hard to build Louie' confidence. He wants so badly to please his people but for now he needs someone who understands that sometimes things can seem a little scary. Louie is affectionate and handsome.
